I'm Richard Barnett and I first  became interested in Reiki 10 years ago, when a friend suggested I tried a course of treatments following a cycling related hip injury. I had seen a specialist and been told I would need a course of collagen injections, which I didn't really want as they are extremely expensive and painful. So I booked myself in for a block of 6 sessions of Reiki and within 3 weeks the pain was subsiding and I was back cycling within 6 months.

So to say the least I was amazed, and aside from the pain relief I found it extremely relaxing. From there I joined a local Reiki share group, and met a Reiki master who taught me levels 1 and 2 and then in 2012 I qualified as a Reiki master teacher and had my attunements at the sacred sites of Stanton Drew (Bristol) The Rollright stones (Oxfordshire)  Avebury stone circle (Wiltshire) The chalice well Glastonbury (Somerset) and The 9 Stones at Winterbourne Abbas (Dorset)

After feeling the earth energy's from these sacred sites, I wanted to learn more and more. So this led me to the use of crystals and the shamanic act of 'smudging' with the use of white sage to cleanse the aura. Having experienced the positive effects of  these techniques i like to incorporate them into my Reiki treatments, but I will always discus this option before any treatment.
